Please make sure you have the latest version of the LA Wallet app installed as a new version was released on January 7, 2025.

To renew your vehicle registration using LA Wallet once it has been linked, tap the "My Vehicles" card on the Home tab and tap “Renew Now” on the vehicle card that you would like to renew. Your new digital vehicle registration will take 2-3 days to process, with physical copies mailed within 30 days, and weekend renewals potentially taking longer to process.

NOTE: At this time only the listed primary owner can renew the vehicle registration through the LA Wallet app. If you are not the listed primary owner, you would have to visit an OMV office to renew the registration or have the primary owner renew it through the app in their account.

Unfortunately, if you're ineligible for renewal through LA Wallet, you will need to visit an OMV location in person for your renewal. Renewal eligibility comes directly from the OMV's system. Their open locations are listed here: https://offices.omv.la.gov for any further assistance.
