The Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) will temporarily suspend services from Saturday, September 12 through Monday, September 14, 2026, due to system modernization efforts and staff training. You can learn more at https://expresslane.la.gov/omv/alerts/.
What services will be affected?
OMV customer service centers will be closed on Monday, September 14, 2026.
Additionally, private companies contracted to conduct OMV transactions, including Public Tag Agents and Auto Title Companies, will be unable to process the following transactions from Saturday, September 12 through Monday, September 14:
- Driver's license transactions
- Reinstatement
- Vehicle registration
- Vehicle title transactions
Need to use LA Wallet?
The LA Wallet app and ExpressLane.la.gov website will be temporarily unavailable from Saturday, September 12 through Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Customers should plan ahead if they need to access LA Wallet or ExpressLane services during this period. If you need to complete an OMV transaction, please plan to do so before September 12 or after the temporary service interruption has ended.
A banner will also be displayed at the top of the LA Wallet home screen during the temporary unavailability to notify users. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while these system modernization and training efforts are completed.
