The LA Wallet app has implemented automated insurance lapse notifications in LA Wallet via push notification and email for user with notifications turned on.

• These alerts will be triggered based on official Department of Public Safety (DPS) OMV-supplied lapse notices and made accessible to users via the app.
• The notice will remain visible in your LA Wallet app for 30 days from the listed notice date, regardless of if the insurance lapse issue has been resolved with the OMV. 
• The Louisiana OMV will also mail an Official Notification of Cancellation of Liability Insurance letter to you.
