Your LA Wallet license status comes directly from the Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV). Any flags on your driver's license will appear in your LA Wallet account. To check, hit Tap to View on the Home tab to view your license and swipe down to refresh.
If your driver's license has a status other than VALID or CANCELLED, you can use the OMV's Driver License Status Inquiry page: https://dps.expresslane.org/omvservices/ReinstatementInquiry/Index to determine the reason for the current status and the necessary steps to resolve it. If there are no issues shown with the OMV, email help@lawallet.com with the following:
- A screenshot of the Driver License Status Inquiry page showing no issues and your license/ID number for escalation to OMV Headquarters.
PLEASE NOTE: NI means No Insurance. If your vehicle was uninsured at any time, the OMV will mark your license and registration as NI.
