IMPORTANT: This applies ONLY to Louisiana Driver's Licenses or State IDs not purchased via the LA Wallet app.

When you update or purchase a new license outside of the LA Wallet app, you will be responsible for updating it on your account. To add a new license/ID not purchased through LA Wallet, tap the Menu tab in the bottom menu then select Unlink License From Account to remove the old license. After, tap the Home tab to add the new one.

• LA Wallet supports only class A, B, C, D, E driver's licenses or Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP), and class I state IDs only. Other types, like Handicap or Mobility Impaired IDs, cannot be linked.

• LA Wallet may prompt you to update your license/ID or automatically remove your old one after the OMV issues you a new license/ID. An old license/ID may be automatically unlinked from your account, as LA Wallet only links your most recently issued license or ID even if you did not unlink it.
