The standard price to renew via LA Wallet includes a license fee of $32.25 for a driver's license or $27 for a state ID along with a $23 convenience fee. Additional fees may apply and will be detailed during the renewal process. All renewal charges are set by the Louisiana OMV with legislative approvals.

Your new digital license/ID will automatically be linked to your account within 24-48 hours after your purchase is submitted via LA Wallet. Your physical license/ID usually takes 2-4 weeks to be delivered to the mailing address you were shown when ordering. 

If your new credential is not received 30 days from the date of purchase, you must visit an OMV office within 60 days of purchasing to be eligible for a free replacement.

NOTE: If you don’t renew your new license/ID via the LA Wallet app, your digital credential won’t update automatically. You’ll need to link it manually once you receive your new license/ID.
