NOTE: Your tags must be added to your account for the season. See HERE to add them to your account.

To validate or report your harvested tag via text by using the LA Wallet app:

1. Open the LA Wallet app.
2. Tap the LDWF Licenses card.
3. Tap Validate Your Tags.
4. Tap Text to Validate.
5. Send the pre-filled text Report to start validation.
   1. If you get a message saying you're not signed up for text-to-tag, reply Confirm to enroll, then repeat these steps.
6. Confirm your identity by replying 1 for Yes, that's me or 2 for No, that's not me.
7. You’ll be asked if you moved the animal:
   1. If yes, reply Exit and use paper tags.
   2. If no, reply Continue.
8. To proceed, reply Text.
9. Respond to each prompt:
   1. Tag number used
   2. Animal's sex: ‘Buck’ or ‘Doe’
   3. Harvest date
   4. Parish of harvest
   5. Land type: Public, Private, or DMAP (DMAP only for antlered deer)
   6. Deer harvest area
10. Verify your answers. Reply 1 for Yes, validate my tag or 2 for No, I'd like to start over.
11. You will receive a confirmation number via text.

Return to the LDWF Licenses card in the LA Wallet app to view your validated tags at the bottom of your tag list.
