Key Information

• DocumentYou gives you the ability to generate and share a PDF of your driver’s license details. 
  • If you need a picture of the actual front or back of your driver's license, you will need to use your physical driver's license. 
• You must have your driver’s license linked to the account before you can generate a PDF.

Instructions

1. After linking your driver’s license or state ID, tap the Share tab at the bottom of the LA Wallet app.

2. Ensure the Document You tab is selected in the Share tab.

3. On this page, enable or disable the data attributes to include in the PDF.

• You can create a password-protected PDF. Share the password with recipients for access. If lost, you'll need to generate a new PDF, as the original can't be accessed without it.

4. Tap Share DocumentYou to download, export, or share the PDF as you like.

5. Once downloaded, the PDF will look like this but with your license picture:

Verify Authenticity

• Once the PDF is downloaded, it can be uploaded to https://account.lawallet.com/document-you for a quick authenticity verification.

• You can also access this from the app by tapping the Verify DocumentYou button in the app. 

Once uploaded on the account portal, the verifier can tap Verify and the response will return either valid or invalid.
