At LA Wallet, we’re constantly working to bring you new features that make life more convenient. Today, we’re thrilled to announce four major updates to the app that will make managing your vehicles and license easier than ever. Check out what’s new:

1. Vehicle Registration Updates: Secondary owners can now link their vehicles, and a VIN completion process helps with manual verification.

2. Vehicle Registration Renewals: Primary & secondary owners can renew their vehicle registration in-app, with a digital copy available within a few business days and a physical copy arriving by mail.

3. Driver License Reinstatements: Users with a flagged license due to lack of insurance can now pay reinstatement fees through the app and regain driving privileges instantly.

4. DocumentYou: Generate a PDF of your driver license details, which can be shared and verified online.

1. Vehicle Registration Updates

We’ve made significant improvements to vehicle registrations! You can now:

• Link Your Vehicle as a Secondary Owner: Secondary owners can now connect their vehicles in the app.

• VIN Completion Process: If we can’t automatically link your vehicle, we’ve added a new process to help you complete it manually by entering details found on your physical regsitration. Note that your drivers license must still match whats listed on the physical registration.

Please note that OMV rules must still be followed, and some vehicles may not be linkable due to OMV flags or other restrictions. If you’ve tried linking your vehicle in the past without success, we encourage you to try again with these updates in place.

2. Vehicle Registration Renewals

We’re making registration renewal simpler and faster. Here’s how it works:

• Renew Directly in the App: Vehicle owners can now renew their registration directly through LA Wallet.

• Secondary Owners: Both primary & secondary owners can now renew their registration after it's been associated to their LA Wallet account.

• Renewal Window: The renewal window opens 60 days before your expiration month.

• Digital & Physical Delivery: After renewing, your new digital registration will appear in the app within 1-3 business days, and your physical registration will arrive in the mail shortly after.

Currently, you can't change the address the vehicle is registered to, but this feature is coming soon!

Stay ahead of deadlines and avoid the hassle of manual renewals—all from the comfort of your phone.

3. Driver License Reinstatements

Dealing with a flagged license? LA Wallet has you covered:

• Pay Reinstatement Fees: If your license has been flagged for not having insurance, you can now pay your reinstatement fees directly through the app.

• Instant Reinstatement: Once payment is complete, your license will be reinstated immediately.

This new feature streamlines the reinstatement process, so you can get back on the road quickly.

4. Introducing DocumentYou

Need to share a copy of your driver license information? Our new DocumentYou feature makes it easier than ever:

• PDF Creation: Generate a PDF of your driver license details, perfect for situations where a scanned copy is required. This new feature can be accessed on the License Details page. Just tap on the Share button and visit the DocumentYou tab.

• Verify Authenticity: The PDF can be uploaded to our website for quick authenticity verification. You can access the verification page at https://account.lawallet.com/document-you.

We’re not stopping here—more enhancements are on the way! Soon, you'll be able to:

• Change Your Vehicle Registration Address During Renewal: Update your registration address while renewing your vehicle registration.

• Purchase a Duplicate Registration: Easily request and purchase a duplicate vehicle registration through the app.
