Key Information

• If reinstatement fees are unpaid for flags associated with your license, the license will be marked as Suspended or NI, and penalties can increase over time.
• Currently, reinstatement payment plans or partial payments are not available via LA Wallet. Please contact the OMV to assist with these options
• This information does not pertain to the payment of the road usage fee for electric or hybrid vehicles. For question or to pay the road usage fee, please contact the OMV directly.

Instructions

1. Reinstatement fees tied to your driver's license will be shown in two ways:

• A badge indicator in the top right corner of the license image on the Home page.

• Outstanding Fees banner appears above the license status banner on the License Details page after tapping Tap to View on the Home tab.
• If the Outstanding Fees banner is not showing, you will need to go directly through the OMV to pay the fees necessary to reinstate your license.

2. Tapping either of the indicators mentioned above will begin the reinstatement process.

3. Once you tap the fee indicator, this opens the Shopping Cart page which provides a breakdown of any and all reinstatement fees.

• You can tap the question mark icon next to each reinstatement fee to view its description.
• The convenience fee for all transactions in the LA Wallet app is $23.00.

4. You will have to read and accept the Terms and Conditions to proceed.

5. Tap Pay Now to open the payment portal and enter your payment details, just like for license renewals and duplicates.

6. Once the payment has been accepted, the outstanding fee indicator mentioned in the first step will disappear within 30 seconds after payment. License reinstatement should happen immediately in most cases.

Payment Window

You can pay reinstatement fees and reinstate your license through the LA Wallet app, Monday to Saturday, 6am to 8pm.LA Wallet will notify you if used outside these hours. Please try again during the next payment window.
